If you find a newborn fawn, elk calf or moose calf. Stay away and keep your pets and children away. The mother is most likely near and has told her newborn to stay put.
More than likely, unless you have bothered them too much. (DO NOT TOUCH THEM AND LEAVE YOUR SCENT), she will come back and get her baby later on.
